Welcome To St. George's Elementary School
St. George's Elementary serves over 300 students in a caring and loving environment. Our staff and students strive to create an atmosphere where ALL students are Respected, Loved and Accepted. So, Welcome home to St. George's Elementary!
Important Dates To Remember
All students are encouraged to wear proper clothing for the weather conditions. Every day students will be expected to go outside for play times at recess and lunch. Mittens are preferred over gloves as these are easily put on and generally keep hands warmer.
Pizza days are every Friday and begins on September 27. Pizza is 1.50 a slice. All orders MUST be submitted before 9:30 am each Friday.
Scholastic Book Fair
October 9, 10 and 11 are the dates set for our annual Scholastic Book Fair. This event has proved extremely successful by providing students with appropriate age leveled reading material. Please plan to attend/volunteer with your child.
On October 14th school will be closed to observe the Thanksgiving Holiday.
October 17 all K's will be going to Taylor's Pumpkin Farm. Please ensure that all permission slips have been returned.
Pink Shirt Day
Anti-Bullying/Pink Shirt Day will be held on October 25. Students are asked to wear a pink t-shirt or any pink item of clothing they wish. During Pink Shirt Day students learn how to be kind to others and be accepting of differences.
If your child intends to have a costume today then they should bring (not wear) their costumes to school on October 31. Time will be given during lunch time for all students to change into their costumes.
If you wish to pick up your child to help them get dressed at home and return to school then please check in at the office at lunch time.
We do not exchange treats here at St. George's for Halloween. Please do not send any treats to share with the other students. Students are asked to bring an extra snack & drink for the afternoon celebration for themselves only.
